didn’t care much for v-day in the past. i’m with someone i will grow old with, but we don’t do holidays and anniversaries and it’s never bothered us. BUT this week the local butcher is having a sale on filet mignon and i can’t wait to get to the kitchen on sunday and cook up something memorably awesome, drink some wine, and make a great night out of it. yup. i might even do it saturday instead so we can get a little drunk and sleep in.

@C.Munro

My thoughts exactly. I never really cared about it one way or the other, and have only even really started noticing it in more recent years, as the merchandising engine has picked up the pace. I could do with a few less shiny red/pink displays and heart shapes all over the place, but otherwise it’s just another day, as it always has been.
