The unaccompanied minor is assisted during check-in and boarding by the Avianca Unaccompanied Minor Service
. An Avianca staffer is with the minor at all times from the moment they are turned over to the airline until they arrive at their destination safely. If a minor has any particular requirements once the aeroplane is in flight, those needs are met. The youngster is escorted through the immigration and baggage claim procedures at the ultimate destination until they are safely handed off to the person who will be picking them up.
